NEWSApril 12, 2022 On Monday, April 11, 2022 Boris Jokić, Ph.D. gave a lecture as a keynote speaker at the„Mental Health for School Leaders Conference“ in Belfast, organized by the British Council Northern Ireland. The main topics of the conference are the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health and well-being in schools, and the strengthening and development of related competencies in teachers. Boris Jokić, Ph.D, commented on the findings related to the well-being of students and teachers obtained within the project of the Croatian Science Foundation project “Changes in the Organisation of Educational Processes Induced by the COVID-19 Pandemics: Effects on Croatian Pupils' Educational Experiences, Wellbeing and Aspirations over Time – EWAchange“. On Thursday, March 31, 2022 Boris Jokić, Ph.D. gave an invited lecture at the XXVIII Scientific Conference "Empirical Studies In Psychology", organized by the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. At the online lecture, he presented the results of the Croatian Science Foundation project “Changes in the Organisation of Educational Processes Induced by the COVID-19 Pandemics: Effects on Croatian Pupils' Educational Experiences, Wellbeing and Aspirations over Time – EWAchange“. January 18, 2022 Boris Jokić, Ph.D., presented the results of the research "The impact of the earthquake on young people in Sisak-Moslavina County" at an event organized by the Central State Office for Demography and Youth. The presented findings indicate resilience in a large number of young people, but also the impact of earthquakes on mental health, especially among high school seniors. December 14, 2021 On Tuesday, December 14, 2021 a symposium Resistance of Society: Lessons from the Croatian Context during the Pandemic was held, organised by Institute for Social Research in Zagreb. As part of the symposium, Iris Marušić, Ph.D., presented the findings on the impact of the pandemic on the work and life of teachers, Zrinka Ristić Dedić, Ph.D., participated in the discussion on personal well-being and crisis adjustment. We thank all those who participated either as speakers or audience at the IDIZ Symposium where scientists from various social sciences and humanities contributed to the analysis of the pandemic impact on education, work system, psychological well-being of citizens, especially young people, and other research topics they investigated as part of their scientific research projects.
