Sovereignty is dead, long live sovereignty!

Josip Bilić is the author of a book review titled “Sovereignty is dead, long live sovereignty!“ in which he reviewed the book „Sovereignity, R.I.P.“ by Don Herzog, published by Yale University Press. The review is published in the journal “Annals of the Croatian Political Science Association“, 19 (1).

In his book “Sovereignty R.I.P.“ Don Herzog tries to 'bury' sovereignty proving that sovereignty is a limited, divided, and accountable concept. Although the author has successfully shown how certain theoretical elements of the concept of sovereignty are outdated and may never fully come to life, considering the theoretical diversity of this concept, its different applications, and the constant need for its revision and revitalization, it seems that the time has not come to bury sovereignty yet.
