Senior Research Assistant Dora Petrović, PhD participated in the 19th International Conference on Motivation and Emotion, which was held from 22nd until 24th June 2026 in Lisbon.

At the conference, she presented the paper "Early-career Informatics Teachers’ Persistence: The Role of Motivations for Teaching and Engagement", written in co-authorship with Iris Marušić, PhD and Josip Šabić, PhD. The paper is written as part of the TeachWell project, financed by the Croatian Science Foundation.

The research explores the mediation role of work engagement in the relation between the motivation for choosing the teaching profession and the intention to remain in the profession among early-career informatics teachers.
