Published: 06.11.2025.

VETPrep team, consisting of Dr. Sc. Teo Matković, Dr. Sc. Saša Puzić, Dr. Sc. Josip Šabić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Sandra Antulić Majcen, Marko Lucić and Marina Gombar, participated in the second project partner meeting in Tallinn from 30 to 31 October 2025.

The research workshop provided a space for the exchange of experiences and the presentation of the progress of the Horizon Europe project VETPrep: VET Participation, Retention, and Educational Policies in the Wake of COVID-19: A Cross-Country Exploration to date.

The research conducted in the five countries that make up the consortium: Scotland, Estonia, Denmark, Spain and Croatia aims to identify patterns and determinants of youth participation and retention in vocational education, and the relevant educational policies that have been adopted to respond to the above challenges.

In addition to presenting achievements to date, the meeting served as a platform for harmonizing further steps in all work packages of the project, including: analyses of the current state of vocational education in partner countries, implementation of the next stages of qualitative and quantitative research, and a framework for a co-creation process through which guidelines and recommendations for interventions and strategies will be developed to improve the engagement and participation of young people in vocational transitions.
