Results of the first year of the HREUURBRUR project were presented at the X National Congress of the Croatian Sociological Association

Principal investigator of the project “Effects of the Europeanization Process in Selected Urban-Rural Areas of Croatia – HREUURBRUR“ Anđelina Svirčić Gotovac, and Nikola Petrović, Leader of the Section for European Studies of the Croatian Sociological Association (CSA), organized a session at the X National Congress of the CSA addressing the topic of the Europeanization process. They also presented some of the results of the first year of the HREUURBRUR project together with other members of the research team. Besides them, Iva Odak and Jelena Matić Bojić, colleagues from the Institute's Centre for Educational Research and Development were also invited to the session, along with Drago Župarić  Iljić and Vladimir Ivanović of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. They presented the topics related to migrations and border areas.

Anđelina Svirčić Gotovac, within her role as Leader of the CSA Section for Spatial Sociology also organized a session in which colleagues exploring the topics of spatial sociology participated and presented some of the most interesting topics in our urban and rural space today. Anđelina Svirčić Gotovac, Jelena Zlatar Gamberožić, Anamaria Klasić, Sara Ursić and Jana Vukić presented themselves with the paper: National and local level of space in the context of post-earthquake and urban renovation, by which they instigated discussion on some of the results of the HREUURBRUR project related to urban and post-earthquake renovation.

Additionally, within her role as Leader of the CSA Section for Spatial Sociology, Anđelina Svirčić Gotovac in collaboration with the Developmenal Network of Republics (behind which is Drago Čengić, PhD as the main initiator of the Public Appeal for New Agricultural Policy in Croatia) and with Associate Professor Tijana Trako Poljak (Principal Investigator of the CSF project – SOCRURAL at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb) organized and moderated a round table discussion titled Social insight into the state of rural areas and agriculture in Croatia at the CSA Congress.
