The Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia, is conducting the international EUROSTUDENT 9 survey. The purpose of the survey is to collect data on the basis of which the Ministry can develop and advance policies and activities aimed at improving the student standard in the Republic of Croatia.

As part of this collaboration and international project, Dr. Teo Matković and Dr. Filip Fila participated in this year's EUROSTUDENT Researchers' Forum, which took place on March 3rd and 4th 2026 in Malta. At the meeting, which gathered researchers from the countries involved in the project, they presented their experiences of implementing the survey in Croatia, specifically addressing the issue of how to achieve a good response rate to the survey, as well as addressing students' experiences in responding to questions concerning financial aspects of their study situation.

The ninth round of the EUROSTUDENT survey was conducted in Croatia in May and June last year. The researchers involved in the project would like to thank all the students who participated in the survey and helped provide data on the quality of student life with their responses. Data was gathered from 14,079 students.
