Filip Fila, PhD participated in the ICCEES XI World Congress

Last week Filip Fila, PhD participated in the ICCEES (International Council for Central and East European Studies) XI World Congress. The Congress was held at the University College London (UCL). Through approaches of various disciplines and the prism of disruption and change, the aim of the Congress was to investigate approaches to studying Central and East Europe.

Filip Fila, PhD presented his paper “Brussels will not tell us who to invite here“: Comparing the Czech and Croatian Political Elites’ Positioning Towards the EU in the Context of the Migration Crisis of 2015/2016, in which he discussed the key parts of his doctoral thesis aiming to explain why political elites in the Czech Republic at that time politicized the question of European management of immigrations, while those in Croatia did not.
