Celebration of the Institute's 60th anniversary was held

With the attendance of representatives of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Government, the Ministry of Science and Education, the City of Zagreb, the City of Split, numerous state agencies, faculties, institutes, foundations, trade unions, civil society organizations, schools and the economic sector we celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb in Lauba, on 22 April 2024.

On this occasion, we held a panel-discussion “The Status and Role of Social Sciences in the Context of Social Changes and Future Challenges“. The participants of the discussion were Marija Brajdić Vuković, Nikola Petrović, Dunja Potočnik and Zrinka Ristić Dedić of the Institute, and Ivana Dragičević of the N1 Television.

The celebration was also attended by our colleagues from Slovenia and Serbia: by representatives of the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, Institute for Educational Research, Belgrade, Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory of the University of Belgrade, as well as the colleagues from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Maribor and the Educational Research Institute, Ljubljana.

We wish to thank all our guests for their attendenace, as well as Lauba on their hospitality, and the children and youth orchestra SO DO El Sistema Hrvatska on their music by which they made our celebration even more special.
