Assistant Josip Bilić defended his PhD thesis

Assistant Josip Bilić defended his PhD thesis titled “Sovereignty of the European Union and Security: Theoretical, Normative and Operational Scope“, on Thursday 22 July 2025. The mentors were Nikola Petrović, PhD and Associate Professor Danijela Lucić, PhD. Mentor Nikola Petrović, PhD was also the Principal Investigator of the Croatian Science Foundation project “Integration and disintegration of the European Union: Dynamics of Europeanism and Euroscepticism“ (2020-2025),  within which the thesis was completed.

The thesis was defended at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb, where the Assistant attended the Postgraduate doctoral study programme of Sociology. The members of the Expert panel for the defence of the thesis were Professor Mirko Bilandžić, PhD, Associate Professor Krešimir Žažar, PhD and Associate Professor Stipe Buzar, PhD.
