Assistant Dora Petrović defended her PhD thesis

Assistant Dora Petrović defended her PhD thesis titled Personality profiles of early-career teachers and their work engagement and burnout, on Wednesday 9 July 2025. The mentor was Iris Marušić, PhD, Scientific Advisor with tenure, who was also the Principal Investigator of the Croatian Science Foundation research project within which the thesis was completed (The role of personality, motivation and socio-emotional competences in early-career teachers’ occupational well-being, HESC, 2020-2023).
The thesis was defended at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb, where the Assistant attended the Postgraduate doctoral study programme of Psychology. The members of the Expert panel for the defence of the thesis were Professor Irena Burić, PhD (Department of Psychology, University of Zadar), Professor Darja Maslić Seršić, PhD (Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb), and Professor Tea Pavin Ivanec, PhD (Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb). The thesis was graded with magna cum laude.
