Prof. Mila Dragojević, PhD, a full-professor of Political Science at the University of the South, USA held the lecture titled “The Croatian Spring: Leadership Lessons for Democratizing a Diverse Society” at the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, on 15 November 2022.

Professor Mila Dragojević is the author of acknowledged books in which some of the key events from ex-Yugoslavian territories were placed into a broader and comparative framework through intensive empirical research: “The Politics of Social Ties: Immigrants in an Ethnic Homeland” (Ashgate 2014/Routledge 2016) and “Amoral Communities: Collective Crimes in Time of War” (Cornell University Press 2019). Her papers on the topics of identity, remembrance and violence were published in journals such as Ethnic and Racial Studies, Nationalities Papers, Slavic Review and Nationalism and Ethnic Politics. She was awarded a number of fellowships for her research work. Currently she is a Fulbright Fellow at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb.
