57th Annual Convention of the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES)

At the 57th Annual Convention of the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), held in Washington D. C. from 20 to 23 November 2025 and dedicated to the theme of memory, a panel was organised titled Youth Perceptions of the 1990s Wars: Violence and Their Aftermath in Post-War Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dr Anja Gvozdanović presented a paper titled "Croatian Youth Perspectives on the Dark Side of the 1990s: Between Official Narrative and Ignorance". The panel also featured contributions from Tamara Banjeglav (ZRC SAZU, Slovenia) and Mila Dragojević (The University of the South, USA).
