We are delighted to invite you to the largest science popularization event at our Institute which will be an occasion to present to the broader public the work of our researchers, especially since the year 2019 is the year of our 55th jubilee.
The Institute for Social Research in Zagreb (ISRZ) opens its door on Thursday, 23rd May 2019 from 10.00 AM till 1.00 PM to all the visitors of ISRZ Open Day with the aim to popularize social sciences, humanities, educational sciences and related disciplines.
This year Open Day is organized and financed within the H2020-MSCA-NIGHT-2018 EU project “European Researchers´ Night: Techno-Past Techno-Future” within the EU programme Horizon 2020 at which ISRZ is one of 18 partners led by the Ministry of Science and Education.
Within the topic of the “Techno-Past Techno-Future“ project, focused on technology and social changes, an introductory lecture “Addiction to self in the time of selfie“ will be held by the Instutute’s collaborator anthropologist Dan Podjed, Ph.D. from the Slovenian Academy of Science and Arts in Ljubljana.
The rest of the program includes two workshops for students aimed at promoting tolerance, equality and mutual respect and presentations of popularization activities of the European Researchers’ Night main event in 2018 and the forthcoming one which will be held on 27th September 2019.
We are especially delighted that this year we shall be hosts to students from the “Josip Slavenski“ Secondary School from Čakovec.
