Creativity and Education: Challenges and Possibilities

In the context of complex social changes and technological advancement, creativity is increasingly recognized as the foundation of high-quality learning and teaching processes, as well as an important factor in personal, professional, and social development. Contemporary education faces the challenge of systematically encouraging the development of students’ creativity. Key questions arise regarding how to develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching, and in what ways the educational system and modern technologies can strengthen students’ creative, artistic, and innovative potential.

The 7th Days of Educational Sciences “Education and Creativity: Challenges and Opportunities,” brings together scientists, researchers, and practitioners to discuss conceptualizations and the role of creativity in contemporary education, as well as ways of systematically fostering it through educational practice, curriculum, and education policies.

As in previous years, Days of Educational Sciences is open to presentations from all fields of educational sciences and related disciplines, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and the exchange of diverse theoretical and methodological approaches. This year’s conference places special emphasis on the following topics:

• The development of creativity in children and youth within the educational system
• Connections between creativity, well-being, and motivation of children and youth
• Creativity of children and youth in a social context
• Creativity, social justice, and inclusion
• Creative practices in classrooms
• The use of creative/artistic methods in educational research
• The impact of modern technologies on creativity in the educational context
• Learning and teaching in arts education.

The conference provides a space for meetings, knowledge exchange, and professional discussion aimed at improving and developing creative educational environments. Through presentations, symposia, and discussions, participants are offered the opportunity to jointly reflect on the challenges and potential of creativity in education and educational research.
