Branko Ančić

He earned a BA degree in sociology and Croatian studies at the University of Zagreb and a PhD degree in sociology at the University of Zagreb. He is currently employed as a research associate at the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb. Dr. Ančić´s scientific and research interest include sociology of religion, sociology of health and sociology of sustainable development. He is also an executive editor of Religion and Society in Central and Eastern Europe (www.rascee.net).

Anja Gvozdanović

Graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She received a PhD at the same university, with the thesis “Dimensions of social capital among university students in Croatia”. She is research associate at the Institute for Social Research. Her field of interest are sociology of youth, social capital, social trust and civility.

Ana Maskalan

Graduated in Philosophy and Latin Language and Roman Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb. She received her Ph.D. in Philosophy at the same University with the thesis „Gender and utopia“. She is a research associate at the Centre for Youth and Gender Studies of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb. Her fields of interest are: philosophy of gender, philosophy of culture, cultural studies, utopian studies.

Iva Odak

Graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. In 2015 she received a PhD at the same university, with the thesis “Cultural capital and social position of the family as factors of educational inequalities”. She is a senior research assistant at the Centre for Educational Research and Development of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb and is currently working on the project “Social identities, higher education access and course choice” funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. Her fields of interest include sociology of education, with the emphasis on social dimension of higher education.

Lana Peternel

Graduated in Ethnology and Russian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She received M.A. at the Faculty of Natural Science with the thesis in biological anthropology and Ph.D. at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb with the thesis in cultural anthropology focusing on ethnic identity and the acculturation process among adolescents with a migrant background in Croatia. Her main fields of interest include research on cultural change in contemporary context, along with interdisciplinary approach to identity, ethnicity and religion.

Nikola Petrović

Graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Zagreb. He received his PhD in Sociology at the same Faculty in 2013 with the thesis “Analysis of defining the European Union by ideology”. He is a research associate at the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb. His research interests are sociology of knowledge and science and European studies.

Adrijana Šuljok

Graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb where she also received her PhD in Sociology with the thesis „Media Representations of Science and Social Changes in Croatia“. She is a scientific associate at the Institute for Social Research, working on the project Social Actors of Science and Technology (2007-). Her field of research is sociology of science, especially public understanding of science and science communication studies.
